Easton: Y100 Pet of the week 3-10-2010

Easton is a Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten mix.  Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten are originally from Ireland and presumed one of the oldest of the Irish Terriers.  Easton has many of the Terrier traits such as being affectionate and a great family pet.  He particularly loves toys.  Easton is just two years old and already neutered, so he is all set to go home with someone today!

TEX: Y100 Pet of the week 2-24-10

Howdy partner. My name is Tex, as in the meanest, leanest cowboy north of Texas. And what a long, strange trip it's been. I was with a family but they brought me here, I guess I had that comin'. They had this other cat but he was all hat and no cattle, wasn't much up for playing cowboys with me. I liked him really, but every once and a while I would get too rough for the young fellow. Well anyhow, my ma always said "every trail has puddles." She also would say, "Never joke with mules or cooks as they have no sense of humor" and I never really got what she meant by that. Well I am looking for a new place to hang my hat. It's getting kinda mushy around here. All the employees and volunteers at Bay Area Humane Society are always saying how gorgeous my yellow eyes are and how they just pop with my grey and white tiger coat. They go on and on about how friendly and affectionate I am. They're always picking me up and giving me kisses, right in public! I mean I have a reputation to up hold here! So if you're looking for a stand up guy and don't have any other cats (there's only room for one sheriff in this town!), come visit me at Bay Area Humane Society. I'll be the one the staff and volunteers are drooling over!

Copper: Y100 Pet of the Week 2/17/2010

Copper is Flash's brother. Copper, like his brother, is a Black and Tan/Bluetick Coonhound mix looking for a great home. He was surrendered to Bay Area Humane Society after his previous owner passed away. Without any of the family members being able to take him and his brother Flash in, they came to us, looking for love and a warm home. Copper also has amazing brown eyes that will speak to your heart, droopy ears that will melt your heart and the personality to capture it!

Copper can't wait to get out of his kennel to get attention as much as he wants to give it. Both Copper and Flash love being outside.  In their previous home, they spent a lot of time outdoors. He likes chew bones and loves playing with other dogs. He's known as the "Happy-go-lucky" dog. Copper is a friend guy that is gentle and loving. If you are searching for love too and looking for a buddy (or two) to share your home with and play with, visit Copper (and Flash) today. He is already altered and ready to go home with his forever friend today!

NIKKI: Y100 Pet of the Week

Nikki is a black and orange Tortoiseshell and only two years old. She came to us as a stray on October 21. She is a real cutie and super affectionate! Nikki has been much happier here at the shelter instead of outside but she really misses having a home of her own. One of Nikki's most endearing qualities is how sweet she is, come see for yourself and you might just find your next best friend!
